The Asus RT-AX86U delivers excellent performance on both Wi-Fi bands, with fast and consistent speeds across different distances and scenarios. According to Tom’s Guide, the router achieved a peak speed of 929.7Mbps on the 5GHz band at a distance of 15 feet, and maintained a speed of 714Mbps at a distance of 75 feet. On the 2.4GHz band, the router reached a peak speed of 289Mbps at 15 feet, and dropped to 223Mbps at 75 feet.
